Beautiful Penpont House wedding in Brecon, Wales - Sarah & Shaun

I'm not sure what to say about Saturday without sounding too gushy... but balls to it.  It was one of my favourite weddings EVER... I am very lucky to have wonderful couples who always make me feel so welcome and like one of the gang but Sarah & Shaun took it to the next level somehow, as did their guests.

The venue, Penpont, has made it straight in to my top 3 (if not the top spot) for it's sheer beauty and character... something new around every corner.  I was like a kid in a sweet shop.

The weather was kind, the surroundings were perfect, the dress was breathtaking (Jenny Packham 'Bardot'... swoon), the food was absolutely incredible (www.cleverchefs.co.uk - aptly named) and the company was excellent - big shout out to table 7 and the very lovely Alex, Jennie, Andy & Helen in particular!  And on top of all this I had my brilliant second shooter Samantha Kay Photography along to help again, THANK YOU.

On a side note, Shaun wins 'cutest wedding gift' award with a special t-shirt for the new Mrs Doyle, a box of goodies including every Valentine's/other cute card they'd sent to one another over the last 10 years and a little glass box of all her favourite biscuits (malted milk and party rings, naturally) in case she got hungry.

Sarah & Shaun... thank you for choosing/trusting me and for giving up Glasto so you could have me!  I hope the photos make up for missing out on the mud for a year? You are an amazing couple, perfectly matched and I know you are going to have many happy years together. I couldn't be happier for you.  Not get your butts on that plane and have an amazing honeymoon. Ciao... lots of love. xxx

Mother fugding awesome Camp & Furnace wedding, Liverpool - Laura & Ross

Wow.  What a day on Saturday.  From the amazing Philharmonic Gospel Choir (coming downstairs in St George's Hall to hear them singing 'Say A Little Prayer' - goosebumps) to the two wonderful yet completely different venues, the stunning dress (and beautiful bridesmaids dresses) made by Laura's talented sister and mum aka Jessica Bennett Bespoke Bride and the emotional, heartfelt & hilarious speeches.  Laura's Dad surprised her with a song - but he got some help with the singing part from a close family friend (with a beautiful voice!) who sang 'I loved her first'.  Not a dry eye.

It. Was. Brilliant.

AND I had the wonderful Kelly (the pretty half of Paul Joseph Photography) second shooting with me.  Thank you Kel. xx

Laura & Ross... you were bloody awesome.  Thank you for trusting me, for being so good together and for the many many laughs.  Lots of love and happy honeymoon!  xxx

A pink and gold wedding at Abbeywood Estate - Caroline & Chris

I love wedding dresses and get to see so many beautiful styles and shapes.... but Caroline's bespoke number was the first GOLD dress I have seen and wow... what a beauty it was!

Obviously not ones for tradition, this Ms & Mr also had a first look and then walked in to their ceremony together, hand in hand, faces beaming. Love that.

I'll never forget just as she was walking downstairs, Caroline said to me "I'm so glad it's you here with us, photographing our day".  Me too... <3

The setting was beautiful, the cake divine (and the owl & the pussy cat adorable), the company excellent, the readings fabulous (who knew Mary Berry's Victoria Sponge recipe would work as a reading?  It totally did!) and the dancing entertaining - props to Caroline who gave it e-ve-ry-thing even with a broken rib.

C&C... I know you are already enjoying your epic honeymoon but I hope the rest is incredible and I can't wait to hear all about it!  xxx

A Storrs Hall wedding on Lake Windermere with stunning Rue de Seine wedding dress - Kellie & Neil

Last week I was totally spoiled with not one but two beautiful weddings, the second of which was this amazing day up in the Lakes with Kellie & Neil.

The March weather gods blessed them with a perfect Spring day and the setting was Storrs Hall, situated right on the shore of Lake Windermere.  A wonderful venue, full of character and beauty and fantastic staff too (thanks team). Kellie had worked super hard on the table centres and table plan - it was all styled to vintage perfection with a little nod to her fashion design background and love of sewing anything and everything.

And then there was THAT DRESS.  Swoon.  Kellie knows what she wants and when she saw the Rue de Seine dress she made a trip all the way to Dublin to get it (although to be fair, it was Dublin or London and Dublin was cheaper!!).  It has to be one of my favourite dresses and paired with that veil (not to mention the Louboutins and Lulu Guinness lips clutch), it was just perfection.  Kellie really did look absolutely incredible (and Neil of course who was looking extremely dashing in his Ted Baker suit!).

Mr & Mrs Riley - huge congratulations, thanks for the giggles and I hope you had an amazing evening with your fantastic friends & family.  Enjoy these previews!  Catch up soon. xxx

La Leotardie wedding, Dordogne, France - Lizzie & Chris

One thing I love about weddings in France is that the venues are so different.  Think you've seen one chateau/domaine you've seen them all?  Think again.  Domaine de la Leotardie almost has the feel of a Cotswolds cottage, just on a grander scale.  And the little dovecote in the garden that the bride & groom stay in is like something straight out of a fairytale.

The sun shone, the rain POURED (thankfully, briefly) and long after the drinks and dinner, the thunder roared.  I drove back to my little home from home through the most spectacular storm!  Exhilarating and terrifying all at once!

Lizzie & Chris - I loved being part of your day - it was beautiful and you were both so much fun to hang out with.  Your friends and family are wonderful (especially on the dancefloor!) and I will always fondly remember you both serenading the room along with the band. :)

I hope you are enjoying beautiful Bali - get yourselves a drink and enjoy these previews!  Lots of love. xxx
