...while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me ~ Isaac Newton
Hannah, David and I were starting to think this session would never happen... the early December shoot got cancelled because it was so unbelievably cold. I know that sounds obvious but I went away to New York and the weather here was pretty average for November, I returned on 1 December (in a short sleeved cardi no less!) to ice, snow and Arctic temperatures!
We decided to wait until the New Year. Forward two months to mid February. Take two! The forecast wasn't bad.... the forecast was wrong. It was bitterly cold and windy and we were freezing so we knew the poor little man would be even more so. We got a couple of shots and then called it a day.
Third time lucky? Last Saturday we went for it... arranged to meet up at Talacre Beach in North Wales and what were we met with? Quite simple a perfect day. Blue skies, sunshine warm on the skin... and a beach that wasn't too busy. Hurray!
It was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. We built sandcastles - which the little fella promptly destroyed immediately... every time... with such glee! We collected shells... we made 'roads' in the sand... we explored rock pools and climbed up the steps to the lighthouse. And to finish we got ice cream. :)
So here's are some of my favourite photos from the day. Thank you to Hannah, David and your gorgeous boy for being so much fun and for making my job such a pleasure. xx
