From the very first time I spoke to Lisa, we just clicked. She is one laid back Aussie. : ) We set about planning the engagement shoot straight away so we could actually meet, chat about the big day and get some gorgeous portraits of her and husband-to-be Al at their venue Coworth Park.
Lisa knew that she wanted a vintage style shoot - something typically English. So a picnic with tea... and champagne... in Ascot. That's about as quintessentially English as it gets right? We were blessed with lots and lots of sunshine and the beautiful grounds at Coworth. We picked a spot between the sunken garden and the lime trees. Perfection.
It really was like a summer's day... an English summer granted... and it did cool down... which is why you will notice more clothes being added as the shoot goes on. Ha! But I for one think Lisa was incredibly brave to be wearing shorts in England in early March.
Lisa & Al... thank you for an absolutely fantastic afternoon. You were such a pleasure to shoot - totally worth getting wet knees for! Thank you both for all the props, ideas, bags of energy and enthusiasm you brought. You are so perfect for one another and just lovely lovely people. I cannot wait for your beautiful wedding... it is possible I'm as excited as you both - if not more so. xxxx
Mid shoot refreshment.... three glasses of champagne.
Slightly more appealing than the warm bottle of water in my camera bag!
