Beachside tower and hilltop destination wedding in Santa Maria di Castellabate, Italy - Sarah & Emmet

Hilltop destination wedding Santa Maria di Castellabate Italy_0044.jpg

Singing our hearts out to 'Despacito' in a minibus at 2am (some very dubious Spanish) on our way to Cliff Bar - just one fond memory I'll have of Sarah & Emmet's wedding.

However there are too many to count... the beautiful view over the Amalfi Coast from Villa Sirio where Sarah got ready, the amazing little vintage Italian car, the ceremony with candle lighting and dancing to 'At last', the surprise prosecco at Bar Emma en route up to Castellabate, the beautiful vows, poems and speeches and the dancing (I'm looking at you Patrick!).

My Secret Italy planned everything to perfection as always and I had my girls Chrissy & Chelsa from the Secret Retreat workshop second shooting with me which was wonderful. Thank you all. ️

Sarah & Emmet - thank you for trusting me and for being such great fun. And to your brilliant friends and family - it was so great to meet you all!

Lots of love guys - enjoy the honeymoon, enjoy these previews and have a drink or two for me! xxx

A dreamy Tuscan destination wedding in Buonconvento, Italy - Lucy & Nick

Dreamy Tuscan destination wedding Italy 00038.jpg

Genuinely... I don't even know where to begin... SO MANY TEARS.  Not sure I've ever cried this much at a wedding - I blame you Nick.  And you Lucy.  And the insanely talented friends and family who sang and played so beautifully.  And Reverend Colin Fox who gave the most beautiful sermon at the ceremony back at Lucy's mum's house.  And Kat for that speech.

Anyway I think I'm going to let these highlights do the rest of the talking as I'll just get all emotional again! But I do just have to say Lucy & Nick what an honour and pleasure it was to spend a few days with you and your friends and family, in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and to share a small part of your incredible love story.  Thank you.  Lots of love Mr & Mrs HF.  xxx

Nick - get a hankie.... (sorry, couldn't resist)

(Quick thanks to the bloody wonderful Sarah Boulton-Lyon who came along to second shoot - loved having you there! You were brilliant.)

A glamorous, fun-filled wedding at Longstowe Hall, Cambridge - Caroline & Neil

Stylish Cambridge wedding Longstowe Hall_0047.jpg

Gradually catching up in between my many travels back and forth to Italy (I know, I know, hard life).

Today I'm sharing some highlights from Caroline & Neil's amazing wedding at Longstowe Hall in Cambridge. It was sheer perfection... so much joy and laughter... this is a girl who LOVES LIFE and has the most infectious personality - as Neil said "You can tell how happy Caroline is by the number of teeth you can see"!  There were more than a few happy tears, a cake-cutting gatecrasher and some immense dance floor action.  From the exquisite dress (with some of Caroline's mum's own wedding dress lace sewn into it - a lovely touch) to the idyllic lakeside ceremony setting, it was crazy beautiful from start to finish.

Not only that but I got to work alongside my pals - the talented and very lovely Lawson Films (check out the incredible highlights film HERE - have Kleenex handy) and second shooter extraordinaire Jamie Sia.  Always a pleasure dudes.

Caroline & Neil... I'm so glad that fate intervened and I was able to shoot your wedding.  I hope these previews bring back some very happy memories and will keep you going until I can share the rest with you! Lots & lots of love from Chester to Jersey. xxx

A Yorkshire Tea themed wedding at the Normans, York - Melanie & Phil

The Normans wedding, York_0062.jpg

So when your groom is a wedding photographer it's extremely flattering, and ever so slightly scary.  (And awesome because he knows all the do's and don'ts and plus you get amazing food!)  I was concerned I wouldn't be allowed in given that I don't actually drink tea... thankfully Melanie & Phil were happy to overlook my shortcomings in the brew sipping department.

This was an absolutely gorgeous day filled with family and friends, Yorkshire Tea, real ale and more fairy lights than you could shake a stick at.  I am still finding grain in my shoes from shooting in that barn above.  Worth it though, the light!

Melanie & Phil you were amazing to work with, so chilled and happy and up for anything.  It was just wonderful.  Thank you for looking after me and my amazing second shooter Wing so well.  Hope you had an amazing mini moon and are now reunited with your gorgeous pup!  xx

Quick shout out to the lovely Michael of Satin Pictures who was shooting the video and was a pleasure to work with and everyone at the fabulous venue The Normans

Jamie & Matt's stylish, fabulous wedding at La Château Charmant, Dordogne, France

Le Chateau Charmant wedding Dordogne France_0038.jpg

So I'm just back from an amazing few days in the South of France... and I'm still missing it. And these two. And all their guests.

Weather wise it was perfect, not too hot... a little bright but who's going to complain when it was raining the day before right? And that sweet sweet golden light was totally worth the boys having to desert their dessert. (Sorry, not sorry)

Bridesmaids were cute as all hell and the self appointed 'Queen of the wedding' Katie absolutely rocked her shiny 'sequinsed' gown

The ceremony and speeches had me smiling and crying in equal measure. The setting of La Château Charmant, as you can see, was jaw-dropping and the party was amazing. Cocktails may have been sampled once 'work' was officially over... (thanks boys).

All of this was planned to perfection by the amazing team at Marry Me In France. Thanks to them for looking after me and my second shooter Siobhan so incredibly.

Jamie & Matt... I can't thank you enough for choosing me to be your photographer. From the moment we Skyped and chatted about Drag Race and internet dating more than the actual wedding, I knew I was going to love you both and that it would be a wedding to remember. The next time I'm up in Sheffield we ARE going out. Resistance is futile.

So have a glass of prosecco or two for me and enjoy these previews on the Italian leg of your honeymoon. Lots and lots of love. xxxx
